Congratulations!

You are here because either you just finished graduate school and are starting the journey to licensure or you want to dive deep into a new area of expertise! Either way, I’m glad you’re here – you’re about to start something amazing!

Finding and committing to the supervisor who is going to be the best fit for your is tough and essential to your development as a therapist.  You want to make sure someone who you will be spending quite a bit of time with is going to support you in the ways that you need.  You want to know that their style and areas of expertise with match well in your development into the therapist you want to become.

While I am really glad you are here, I am not the best supervision fit for everyone.  I am hoping this information will help you decide if I am the right fit for you! I provide both in person supervision in the Western MA area and virtual supervision. I support my supervisees both with developmental of clinical skills but also self reflection, documentation skills, developing and streamlining procedures, and professional development goals.

Supervision Philosophy:

My approach to supervision is rooted in facilitating your journey toward professional growth and competency. Whether you’re embarking on the path to licensure or seeking to refine skills in areas like working with young children, adolescents, or trauma, supervision offers crucial support.

I view supervision as an interactive process aimed at enhancing client care, refining clinical skills, and fostering professional confidence. Emphasizing a developmental perspective, my supervision framework creates a nurturing environment where you can honestly assess your performance, skills, and areas for growth. It’s a safe space to explore your current abilities, discover new concepts, and gain the confidence to experiment with innovative techniques in client sessions, ultimately expanding your clinical toolkit.

Through our supervisory relationship, you’ll have the opportunity to reflect, learn, and evolve, empowering you to become the impactful professional you aspire to be.

Theoretical Orientation:

I integrate various approaches in my clinical work, centering them around a multicultural perspective. Typically, I employ a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to address clients’ needs, supplemented by a sensorimotor approach when suitable. With a focus on children and teens, I adapt play therapy techniques—both directive and non-directive—based on the child’s age and presenting issues. My toolkit includes creative techniques, portable play therapy, emotional regulation skills, and bibliotherapy. Additionally, I work closely with parents, implementing behavioral plans to foster desired behaviors.

My career spans diverse settings, including in-home, school, juvenile detention, and outpatient mental health environments. This breadth of experience enables me to tailor interventions effectively to meet the unique needs of each client and their families.
